NextGEN EMU — the OBD1 brain transplant
Real-time tuning, datalogging and four-map control for OBD1 Honda/Acura ECUs — P06, P28, P30, P72 — in one modern USB-C platform. The thing our meme warned you about, except it's real, it costs $70.99, and it actually exists.

WHY ALPHA OVER THE OTHERS
Legacy emulators taught the lesson. ALPHA took notes.
Old-school OBD1 tuning meant burning a chip per change, praying over a laptop from 2003, and paying triple for the privilege. The NextGEN EMU is a clean break:
Real-time tuning
Change maps live through ALPHAlink Tuning Studio. No burn-pull-burn chip cycle, no 90s laptop ritual.
Four-map control
Street, track, valet, don't-touch-my-car — four maps on tap without opening the ECU case.
Datalogging built in
Watch what the engine actually did, not what you hoped it did. Review, adjust, repeat.
Modern hardware
USB-C and custom ALPHAemu firmware — not a serial-port relic from a tuner forum's basement.
8 analog inputs
Wideband, EGT, boost — future sensor expansion is already pinned out on the board.
Beta = ALPHAteam
Early price, early features, real say in where the platform goes — and low-cost upgrade paths on new revisions.
THE COCKPIT // ALPHALINK TUNING STUDIO
The interface your laptop becomes.
This is the actual v0.1 studio build, not a render — live gauges up top, the calibration heatmap on the bench, a curve you drag with the mouse, and a datalog oscilloscope along the bottom rail.

Live gauge row
RPM, AFR, IAT, ECT, ignition timing, vehicle speed — six gauges watching while you tune.
Calibration heatmap
The fuel table as a color map — click-drag across cells, interpolate whole regions in one move.
Curve preview
Grab the nodes on the RPM curve and drag — no typing values blind into a table.
Datalog oscilloscope
Record, run, pause at 1.0x real-time — every pull becomes evidence you can replay.
COMPATIBILITY // THE HONEST BIT
Your OBD1 D-series brain is on the list.
One condition, straight from ALPHA: the ECU must be chipped/socketed first — professional socketing recommended. The EMU drops into that socket; the ECU itself isn't included.
Read before ordering
- Beta tester release — expect updates, rough edges, and a real say in the platform
- Needs a 90-degree USB-C cable for fitment (check what's in the box)
- Off-road / competition use only, per ALPHA's terms
- Tuning not included — that's what our Based Maps page is for

FROM THE PROMO WALL
Hank called it in panel three.
“Should've gotten that Alpha tuning chip.” The comic was a joke. The chip wasn't. Then ALPHA became partner 001 — Hank takes full credit for the scouting report.
